Our Dream – inspired by our first two Clients.
The Ritchie Foundation, will be a holiday retreat and drop in centre for young adults aged 16/25 who have disabilities or disibilitaing illnesses.
We feel that there is very little choice for the individuals from this age group to have the opportunity to have a few days break on their own or with their families/ carers.
The Ritchie Foundation shall be a centre that has a 24hr team of professional nursing and support staff that will provide a friendly and safe environment, where the individuals can participate in the daily activities that will be arranged by the centre.
The families/carers can also take part in all the activities, or may wish to unwind in the surroundings of the centre or venture into the community to have some timeout, Knowing that their young adults are being well cared for.
The Ritchie Foundation aims to create a friendly, fun, relaxed environment. The Ritchie Foundations will be based in the countryside, with grounds enabling us to maintain relaxing gardens and outside activity areas.
The Ritchie Foundation is about giving these young adults new experiences and looking after their wellbeing, and not only helping them, their but their Families/cares, to develop their own network and support system and also to have FUN!!!! - Away from the stresses of day to day living.
